Yeah and now they're inching their way into doing it again because fines are just the cost of business. Windows search can't use anything but Edge and Bing for example, and they've deliberately broken the modifications that allow you to work around that, multiple times. They made it much more difficult to switch default browsers, they made it so that if you tried to uninstall it it would come back the next time you updated, etc

That's affective alexithymia you're describing, but it's not the only mind. Cognitive alexithymia is closer to what this person was describing. A lot of the time it's not necessarily just one or the other, it can be different degrees of both
