This is my singular concern. I know it's open source but I am not knowledgeable nor ambitious enough to scour the code looking for malicious intent. So I would be wondering what assurances we have against this.
With the initial suggestions regarding nozzle cleaning, I watched a couple YouTube videos and did a cold pull on the nozzle. Additionally I did also scrub the plate with dish soap and got it nice and purdy clean. The initial few layers now are going - dare I say - ideally.

Looks like a rubber stamp tool was used to remove the plate. Nothing suggests ai to me.

Thanks! My method is prime black, overbrush with metallic, then stipple and paint everything but the edges.
