Tbh, I wanted to install gnome3, 'cause well...it's basically a mobile desktop, the interface is very touch friendly. But it doesn't work cause Wayland, and it would probably be a lot heavier to run.
You can install Termux from the F-droid store, which is a Android terminal emulator and Linux environment.
Then install the proot-distro package and you can install stuff like Ubuntu, Debian, Arch...

isnt the RP3+ a bit under powered for PS2 emulation? Im pretty sure most games are not playable unless you underclock/hack/downscale.
Also, they are mostly just android devices, you are still have the 'screen control only apps problem, thou they might streamline how to configure and link screen positons to buttons

I just use Syncthing, takes like 1min to set up a sync chain between PC and phone.

Wait isn't this the standard? Debugging can take hours, but it takes like 5min to reinstall
