I dropped it as a daily driver when I noticed that Here We Go maps just naturally circumvents their advanced privacy location spoofing. Tested this with two devices and the issue appeared in both. Maps showed my real location.
Graphene might be a bit overkill for me, but I rather am too careful than rely on false advertising and leak real information unknowingly.
No. Absolutely no to the streaming services.
If you're into movies I recommend a plan for your local movie theatre, if they offer it. Or just visiting whenever something you like comes out.
Looking for deals is a great recommendation for most services though, big savings for Proton are possible there too.
I like the Fairphone hardware but can not recommend e/OS - Murena is making false privacy claims about their software and are not interested in fixing them.
Sadly Graphene has stated that Fairphone will likely not be supported in the future as their current models are lacking necessary hardware.
I ended up with a used Pixel and installed Graphene, I'm happy with it as a daily driver and am doing my online banking in the browser on my PC.
e/OS also promises advanced location protection by spoofing a false geolocation. Reported to Murena that this is somehow bypassed by Here We Go maps but there seems no interest in fixing the issue.
Also, when they anounced last year they would add ChatGPT integration for their cloud services my complaint to them was answered with "well you don't have to use it"
Nonsense, and their reasoning is bullshit as well. They still allow Grok and X on their App stores, Apps spreading CSAM, AI slop and false information.
Oh and the rigorous review system to keep Apps safe? Low paid kids that didn't make it in the customer service department. 0 technical knowledge required, but reviewing code.

So people paid Google 60 bucks to buy a wiretap for their house, now for evesdropping they get 10 back. These lawsuits in the US are nonsense

Murena is obviously not serious about privacy
This is the way
I love happy hour, here is my favourite cocktail recipe. YUM
These people deserve to be shot and dumped in the gutter. Keep recording, if we're lucky these bastards will face justice one day
I share your frustration, my cynicism is because I'm at a loss otherwise.
Of course there will be innocent victims... but for the rest lets call it evolutionary freedom.
This is the only way
I see you know corporate math well
Burn them down

of course this is them cutting the fat, and yet a reduced presence in the streets is an improvement
