These bags are what many rc hobbists use to store and charge lithium in. There are many different form factors (and price points) to pick from, but they all work to suppress the potential flames and vent off the smoke in a safer way than it just venting in open air.

I have had a battery vent off violently after an rc car I had hit a telephone pole guy wire sideways at 70mph, and it is indeed something you want to contain should it happen indoors.

Best practice is to just be present when charging, and use a bag if you run cheap/old batteries. An old metal toolbox or something would likely work as well, just anything to keep the flames down.

I’ve shot a couple of these with Nightforce optics on top. Both suppressed and not.

They are incredible. More so to me because I was shooting with PRS guys who can use them out to a mile. And the glass allowed you to watch the vapor trail all the way to the target. It’s just nuts to me that it’s basically a couple of aluminum rods strapped to a receiver with some plastic clamshell to give it something comfy to hold. And that just one cost more than my first three cars.

As someone who fishes, it could be many things. First, if they leave them, they serve as great fish habitat. Fish don’t have eyelids, so somewhere to find shade during the sunniest bits of the day is great. And it breaks down into rust over time.

It could be for rescue diver practice. Sinking most of a vehicle to go mess with in a controlled setting is better than learning on an actual rescue.

And if this happens a bunch with bets and all, it could be a way of gauging when it is no longer safe to be out on the ice like you said. It’s always a gamble anyways, but that is pretty solid evidence of how safe it is if you know that body of water.

But it could just be redneck bullshittery. ā€œThe Southā€ is anywhere 20 minutes outside of any major city in the USA. Go drive around and look, I promise it works. That’s how you get shit like this. They are everywhere.

lol is the boost pressure sensor bad?

It’s gotta be that or rings because it’s going somewhere. And it sounds like it’s all coming out of your wallet right now. šŸ˜…

I’m not a GTI expert, but have you looked at the diverter valve? Or the charge pipes and connections? Either could be leaking boost, and I had a similar issue with my Mini years ago that turned out to be the diverter valve.

Good luck!

You know, I agree with much of this. It is an echo chamber here. There is a limit to the amount of political discourse one can handle daily as well. I really, truly understand, because it drives me up a wall as well sometimes.

But it’s impossible to escape politics when ā€œpoliticsā€ is our government doing fascism. The echo chamber we are in leans pretty left and typically hates fascism. It’s escalated now that we have bombed the fuck out of Iran on behalf of Israel. We are really, truly the bad guys now and sometimes that means interrupting memes. šŸ˜•

Oh wow! Go handle it then. Be the change. Vote, protest, etc.

People that bitch about politics being in everything are often the ones who need to see it and understand it the most. We have a future dictator in office who is kidnapping citizens and starting another pointless war, while tanking the economy to new levels, but mUh CoMmUnItIeS…

Maybe the HOA should pay for his roof then? You know, with HOA fees.

I get there is nuance, but times suck, people can afford less, and HOAs have become a way for people with tiny dicks to harm others. If we used them as a a way to identify and address issues in a neighborhood in constructive ways, it wouldn’t be an issue. They are about power.

Not sure how I am an example. Please explain.

And I also don’t understand how up and downvotes can form an opinion for you. If that’s all it takes for you to make a decision, then you aren’t being very critical of what you are seeing. Surface level understanding plagues right wing nut jobs like yourself.

I refuse to be inclusive to someone who can’t be inclusive themselves. And this has nothing to do with the way anyone votes, so I am not sure how trying to educate you impacts how together we all are in voting away the fascism.

I’m not morally superior, either. I just have morals.

It’s not about not labeling bad people a certain way, it’s about not using what has become a slur to describe them at the expense of those who have been labeled that for real medical reasons. And who have been labeled that because they are different.

You sound really fucking stupid right now, and I have explained why. If you can’t bear to change for the better, you may as well be one of the idiots on the right. I’m not convinced you aren’t, actually. As the other guy stated, you have an entire dictionary of words you could use that aren’t at the expense of others, but your small mind can’t even find one that isn’t the bad one. You are the problem here.
