market value and moving expenses seems like a no brainer, but it doesn't go nearly far enough. the value that is created from these properties being requisitioned isn't really addressed.

a company deciding they want it at market value, would intrinsically increase the market value pretty significantly. and it's hard to put numbers to it, but if someone were to knock on my door, completely unprompted, I think I would have a hard time packing up and leaving for less than 1.5x market value (plus expenses).

the difference I see here is that the comic isn't really talking about the individual becoming something new, rather it is creating an environment where the false persona is replicated by others.

but doesn't the twilight implementation sorta give you a bunch of counter points from your original argument?

like sure some of them are formal, but it's definitely not solely the 1800s aesthetic you had an issue with.

Is that something that her husband has been known to do? Admittedly, I don't know much about Noem, nor her husband, but I didn't think he was the one making this a hypocritical situation.
