I am noticing this across the board. A lot always pushed hard during Prime but now there seems to be a level of desperation. I think the economy is causing a drop in income and Prime Days were always a high income earning time with minimal effort, but this year, it's like they have to put in more work for less money so the desperation is evident.
While I get the intention, I don't think this is something they are going to be able to enforce. How will they know these items were sent and not bought because they rarely will say when something has been sent to them, and often pretend they bought it themselves to make it seem more authentic. The CRA still doesn't truly understand the industry, which is why they will continue to get away with stuff. One of my jobs is self-employed freelance writing, which has been around forever, and I don't know how many times I have to try to explain what I do to a CRA agent during tax season, and they still never truly understand.
This is the loophole. If something is sent without obligation to post about it, then it is not looked at as barter or a contractual obligation; therefore, they don't have to claim it. I would say a huge portion of the PR she gets falls under this category because brands just send stuff hoping she will say something. But there are very obvious times that you know she is only saying something because she has to, and I guarantee she isn't claiming those.
I wonder if RR making that post to rip apart a comment made about her had anything to do with it? I can imagine her loyal troops going in to mass report, because someone in her comments was laughing about it being banned now.
It definitely gives a solid base, but does not make one bilingual. To have fluency, they would need it to be carried into the home as well which it is obviously not, or some outside of school lessons. I have a friend who moved to Paris two years ago with her two kids. They are attending school with a full-on immersion experience, plus are living in a country surrounded by the language, and they are not even fluent yet. They are doing much better than her, but it is a slow process and they have resorted to having days where everyone has to speak french in the home just to force them to think in the language. If I sent my kids to french immersion, I absolutely would have taken lessons myself in order to help bring it into the home. She has nothing but time and money, so she could have easily got herself lessons or a tutor.
I think she always comes out the winner because there are never any repercussions for her actions. She gets away with everything while other people have to deal with the mess, and to me that is how she is always seems to come out on top or the "winner".
I agree. And there is a lot of what feels like strong personal feelings and emotion behind it, only creating an account and coming on to share those. RR is indifferent to anything but herself.
Which means a lot of these losses are probably from that buy as well. They can drop pretty quickly after purchasing, which is why they need to top up consistently. It becomes a non-stop cycle once they start. She probably spends thousands a month on this shit.
Edit to add: and I am not saying she isn't losing real followers because she definitely is. People purge and unfollow in the new year, and her stuff is annoying and uninspiring, so I imagine many are done with her crap.
When you start buying followers, you have to keep doing it because many of the ones you buy end up disappearing after a while, which also counts as an unfollow. A lot of companies selling fake followers will have a guarantee that they will last for a certain amount of time, but eventually, most of those accounts get closed/banned/deactivated and then you have to buy more again. So these numbers probably reflect both real and fake losses, and she hasn't bought in a while to replenish her numbers. What a waste of money for some vanity number that isn't even real. How embarrassing.
