7I tried one of the world's oldest soups, a broth that's been kept simmering for 50 years by 3 generations of a family. It's now one of my favorite restaurants in Bangkok. insider.comc/perpetuallystew · by cheeseblintzes@lemmy.world · 3y · 0 comments
on SO MANY TOMATOES · c/tomatoes · 1 pts · 2yJust looked it up-- could be a good idea! I make hot sauces, too... so now that is giving me dreams of creating a delicious naturally colored purple hot sauce.
on SO MANY TOMATOES · c/tomatoes · 2 pts · 2yY'Know... the last time I grew black krim... they tasted a bit too mealy for my liking. I'm gonna give them another shot, however... may have also not watered them as much as they would like. I'm working through the last of my baker creek seeds, but the majority of what is listed here are burpee, seed savers, or migardener. Happy growing, when the time comes! <3 edit: Know to Y'know

on What are your planting plans? · c/gardening · 2 pts · 2yThats a good idea! I planted a winter garden and promptly forgot about it... all while still having the last of my summer plants still producing. They're ALL sitting in my raised beds as corpses at the moment-- I'll pull them come time for the early radish/lettuce plantings. Have you done the favas for nitrogen before or is this new for you this season?

on Perpetual Stew: Aaaaaand... its gone · c/perpetuallystew · 3 pts · 3yThank you! It was my own damn fault, but the way I see it... life happens to the best of us. I'm just thankful to live in a time where I wasn't actually relying on that food to have a continued existence. :) PS: on the tomato front, my next projects are tomato juice, and (when it cools out) green tomato hot sauce. Should be fun!
I've grown those! They're tasty.
