š¤·š¼āāļø I hadnāt heard that. Not as common, but still counts in a lot of peopleās eyes. Beyond the last Metroid Prime, the last big ones I remember hearing about were Control or Jedi: Survivor
The devs label it as a metroidvania, and a lot of reviews mention it as a Zelda-like, but people whoāve played it say it straddles an already thin line between the genres.
In my opinion, avoid āMĆO: Memories in Orbitā if youāre not a fan of platforming. I had to avoid some pretty big areas of that game for how seriously hard some of the platforming challenges were.
The first Grime was 2021, so 3 years prior to PoP. But playing both, they play very differently and didnāt feel visually similar. I can see what youāre saying in the lighting and shaders.
There are demos for both Grime games, so it could be a good way to get a feel for them
I really liked that Nine Sols had an difficulty slider. It was much harder for me than Hollow Knight, but I could adjust the slider instead of banging my head against the wall. I sometimes can enjoy the satisfaction of completing something tough, but I have limited time to play games and itās getting trickier with a young child.
It seems like it, but isnāt crystal clear. The Steam listing has āonline co-opā listed, but Artplay doesnāt talk about it in their press. Iāve seen other places highlight it, but they could be mistaken.
I would be really excited if it was directed by Carl Erik Rinsch

Reading comments, people whoāve played the demo say itās solid, but nothing great.
Iād add that some people delineate between the two with the idea that Zelda-likes have dungeons and metroidvanias donāt.
What's wild is that this is only the first metroidvania Little Nemo game that's been in the works: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2229030/Little_Nemo_and_the_Nightmare_Fiends/
Absolutely. Thanks for the feedback. No idea if Iām posting into a void

Same with me on Grime 1.

Thanks for posting!
And most of it was within a year or two. All happened at the same time around 2020. Real fast
Because itās not a side-scroller?
Thanks for posting an MP4! Iād love to see more NBA highlights as MP4s and WEBM files as they auto play on Lenny
Same. I respected it, but didnāt get past something like the 4th boss and never came back. But people love that game
They 100% should play Jackie Wilsonās āYour Love Keeps Lifting Me Higherā at the event as a nod.

š just a littleā¦
I have a 15-month-old, so Iām going to hire a full time au-pair so I can play this game.
Thatās my description. The mechanic is something I havenāt heard of before. It may be gimmicky, but weāll seeā¦

Thanks! How are you viewing it when you use Lemmy? In a browser? Voyager? Curious as I donāt think playback is consistent across platforms.
