I agree that it'd be good to out legislation in the control of the common people - but putting it in dealers' hands is just asking for new conflicts of interests, at least if it's in their hands only
Yeah, I imagine the amount of books by language depends on the library. Mine has 2k German and some Dutch and Ukrainian as well - didn't vet those. I was able to download an .acsm file via Manage Loan -> Read with... -> Epub, but then you still need to deal with an acsm file - definitely not a real solution, just figured I'd mention it
Hab als evangelisches Minderheitskind in der Grundschule jahrelang katholischen Religionsunterricht mitmachen müssen, der vom örtlichen Kaplan unterrichtet wurde. In der Mittelstufe haben sie dann eine ehemalige Pastorin als Quereinsteigerin für uns gefunden.
Keinerlei Weltreligionsbildung, quasi Konfirmationsvorbereitung mit Siegel des Staates. Durfte es erst zur Oberstufe abwählen, weil es kein Alternativangebot gab.
Konfessionsunabhängigen Religionstheorie- und -kontextunterricht fände ich halbwegs sinnvoll und interessant - aber die Kirchen dürfen dabei keine Hand im Spiel haben
Mein Verständis wäre, dass cis und trans richtige Gegenteile sind, aber wenn jemand trans ist, muss es nicht "das andere" Geschlecht sein (m->f oder f->m), sondern kann auch nichtbinär sein. Hab aber wenig Ahnung wie intersex in dieses Bild passt, um ehrlich zu sein - hängt davon ab, wie die Gesellschaft sie vorher identifiziert, denke ich.
That's so cool! I'm impressed at how sharp your lines are with a dip pen (so presumably ink) on homemade paper. I would have expected it to feather a lot
It's certainly a thing for owning apartments in a multi-apartment building. We call it Eigentümerversammlung and I hear they're quite the hassle to deal with, too.

I guess the most canon-compliant way to make this idea work is that they were a cleric of a deity that died. That does happen in DnD settings sometimes and I would expect that would remove their access to divine magic. Of course I would expect that rules would let you substitute a different deity with similar domains, and there are definitely skills and feats you wouldn't lose with your magic, but it would be an interesting backstory.
I think there's also a fun opportunity for the world to just evolve a lot in that time. Like, you were a wizard 100 years ago, but then spells were super different and way less powerful, so now you get to relearn the newer better spells and casting techniques. I imagine it'd be like learning to programming 50 years ago and then starting again now

Ich finds, die richtig guten sind alle prä-DDR, halt alte Arbeiterbewegungslieder, die die DDR dann eben auch als Propaganda gut nutzen konnte
