I'm fairly new to this but from what I'm learning it is to live a virtuous life. Everything outside your mind is objective. If existence has a point it wouldn't matter because you can only control your mind. You would still want to live with arete, to live a good life according to the virtues no matter what happens outside your control.
Apartments and houses are designed for air flow. You don't need a gap in your door to prevent mold. Mold will grow despite that if you live in a city that has high humidity.
