What if instead of communism we just eminent-domain-reallocate the means of production into the cooperative ownership of the workers and then allowed the workers to democratically decide what gets produced, how to produce it, and for whom?
2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 were all one year. they were all the same year. all of them.
the calendar says 2026 right now but it's actually functionally acting as the real 2022--whereas the calendar 2022 was a phatasmic mirage of the plague.
i kinda feel this. of course, there are levels of granularity to terminology that will unfortunately result in people using the same words to refer to different things. but whatever terms there are, i use linux mint and whatever kernel/os/shell/ui/etc that implies is fine by me.
my cordial congratulations Flock CEO Garret Langley and his attainment of absolute personal safety through the shedding of all privacy. Now that we can watch you everywhere you go, Garret, surely nothing bad will ever happen to you again. Why don't you relax? Stop running. There's nowhere you can go that we can't watch you anyway.
my mood used to lapse into crashes like this when i used to eat stuff that's bad for me.
every time i eat a lot of carbs and/or sugar, this is liable to happen, and this past week has been rather 'excessive' on the indulgences...
last weekend i visited my friends in another state and i let myself cut loose and eat whatever. and it was lovely while it was going on. but now that i have to readjust to get back on the nutrition plan that was having good results for me, i'm having a little bit of a hard time.
upshot is,
hormones do lots of stuff aside from just the most obvious things they do. and in my case, it alters my mood in ouchy ways. i get insecure like this and start to feel increasingly sensitive to detrimental ideations. kinda ... lowkey baader-meinhof phenomenon / frequency illusion but for badfeels and badthoughts. just having them on my mind makes them louder.
originally i wanted to write that we didn't have lead exposure, but ...
Flint Michigan. and that's actually not even the worst municipal water system by far. That's merely the one that got a little more publicity than most.
It's nice that we don't have fumes from leaded gasoline, generally speaking--that it's no longer the standard and most household sector products that use fuel don't take leaded gasoline.
ooooh ... you know what, maybe i'll avoid highways and stick to roads with 30 mph speed limits, too, actually. i drive a hybrid so it might be pretty chill and cost next to nothing.
it's more like, "if I don't, the psycho behind me will gut me like a fish and then fashion my skin into an extremely ineffective shower curtain"
yeah i know that he shouldn't do that because it's illegal, but the world is full of highly principled corpses and there are people who are depending on me to be alive.
at least i get to cruise slow and steady when there happens to be no one else behind me... and what's wild is, ever since i grew the fuck up and stopped being a speeder piece of shit, i hardly ever encounter traffic jams anymore, and i don't seem to get where i'm going any later than i would have otherwise.
for a second there I thought this was an atheist saying that the cave guide was spouting info from a religious perspective and therefore the information was wrong.
funny how literally the only thing i consistently see AI being useful for is the pointless bullshit tasks that don't accomplish anything but the further complication of shit that didn't need to be so complicated in the first place. such as busywork. They're jerking us around to waste our time so i see no reason to treat their time as though it's particularly valuable either; turnabout is fair play, after all.
'hey losers. looks like you need shit to get done. hire me or stay sucking. peace out'
(actually i'm contemplating falsely applying to jobs i have no intention of actually seeking and literally using this as my cover letter just to see if anything funny happens...)
(i like the job i already have)
it will never not irk me the way that neurotypicals will ask a question about something when they literally do not WANT an answer--because if you try to answer their question they accuse you of 'making excuses'.
what they REALLY mean is "I hate that, I don't want it to be that way. I don't want you to tell me why it is, I want to lead you to changing your mind by making you rethink it so you might understand why I think it shouldn't be like that"

if we were smart, we'd prosecute the centrists as accomplices. because they are.

You know what else we also didn't poison ourselves with at anywhere NEARLY as high a level as boomers did? Lead.

how disappointing.
