Oh that's a silly question. Why not?

The honest answer is in the US all doorbells are powered by simple 24VAC transformers that burn 6–7 watts just being powered up, forever, for decades. This annoyed me plus I wanted a fun bell so I wired up a pi to use a modern, efficient 24VDC power supy to ring the bell and it gets turned on by the pi only when its needed so now my idle wattage is more like 0.25W.

I dont fence, I electic fence. Deer get zapped and learn to fear thin shiny wires. Its worked very well for me for many years.

Adding to this, in the states the Starbucks instant coffee is shockingly good. Its not the horrible instant our grandparents tolerated. I won't drink it regularly but in a rush its perfectly acceptable.

I bought a large MadeIn griddle for my induction stove and I have buyers remorse. Its just too thin, too little thermal conduction. It merely cooks in a circle directly over the two coils and no where else. Its bad even with a long pre-heat.

Ive been really happy with Tplink omada stuff. I have the oc200 controller that you log into to commission and centrally monitor and configure all your hardware. I'm a little eccentric and have 4 switches and I think six APs on this point and it makes managing it all very easy and graphical.

I have fond childhood memories of sleeping under a sheet on a cot outside in Greece on a small island my family is from. In the last 15 years someone brought mosquitoes to the island and its insufferable because no one understands their breeding habits and always leave water troughs and tanks open for breeding. Its really rough in the winter rainy season.

I'm in a rush but ive put Ethernet cards in both slots of my optiplex 3080 m.2 slots. The top right slot is vanilla and 4xpcie lanes, full speed. The bottom left is A+e keying and only 1x lane which is enough for 2.5gig Ethernet. This is ultimately what i used. For my prfesene box I added a second card, a 2 port Ethernet card to the top right m.2 slot and made it a four port beast.

On the flip side i worry everyday folks, who aren't the real problem, shame themselves everyday for living just because they're self aware, when the actuall problem makers are oblivious to their own behaviors and won't change.

I don't think people going on holiday are the problem. Its the power users, a small percent that just fly too much like its taking the train. I have a rich family member that has three houses around the US and they split their time between them all. Often flying 3 times a month, perpetually. Its a horrific and wasteful lifestyle.
