All of that is true in the US too. Most Americans have no real need for a big truck they just get them because they like driving a big vehicle.. makes them feel safe or whatever, and literally looking down on everyone when they drive

Even my new water heater was delivered and old one hauled off for free

Of course doing all that myself probably would’ve been cheaper, but I’m not a plumber, and doesn’t occur enough for a huge daily driver vehicle to make sense. Obviously they make sense as work vehicles for contractors etc but most people with a big truck don’t actually use it for those needs 99.9% of the time

No actually fires have an overall negative (lowering) effect on temperatures, because the smoke reduces the sun energy from reaching land over large areas, it’s been well established that areas affected by smoke will have lower peak temps than they otherwise would have. Except it can cause temps to stay higher overnight by preventing the heat from escaping into atmosphere.

But in terms of highest temps ever recorded.. it doesn’t seem fires would contribute to that at all, more just a consequence of the high temps (drying effect).

Oh damn.. honestly I don’t have any game system since the Xbox 360 came out lol, is there going to be a PS6 soon? The only thing that dissuades me is the cost of games.
