You can still contribute to Wiki Foundations outside the US. I reached out to the German WMF and received the following reply. Generally I believe preserving Wikipedia is crucial and it seems donating to the German foundation will in no way contribute to the bullshit they are trying in the US.

"As your criticism relates to reports of changes at the Wikimedia Foundation, we at Wikimedia Deutschland e. V. would like to comment on this.

For Wikimedia Deutschland e. V., working with and for the community remains central to our work. Our Technical Requests team continues to work alongside the German-speaking community on the further development of MediaWiki, and close collaboration with volunteers is also an essential part of our work on projects such as Wikidata and Wikibase.

Wikimedia Deutschland e. V. was not involved in the decisions made by the Wikimedia Foundation and is not involved in the Wikimedia Foundation’s internal staffing or organisational processes. We are therefore unable to influence these developments or make a definitive assessment of them.

According to the Wikimedia Foundation, work on technical requests from the community has not been discontinued, but has been reorganised. The Wikimedia Foundation has also stated that the members of the former team remain employed by the Foundation and are receiving support in applying for internal positions. The Foundation denies any link between this reorganisation and the ongoing trade union organising of its staff."

They do not. I have worked half a decade as coach/manager in customer support where certain things had to be said during calls.

Post-it on the screen will be effective until the next lunch break, then it disappears into the void for me and the 100+ people I worked with over the years experienced the same. I always recommended a reminder to pop up, having to click to get rid of it made it effective for an extra couple of days.

Using our community has become very popular, and there are still too many LGBTQ+ folks supporting the right.

The head of the far-right AFD is a lesbian, the recently resigned Jens Spahn is in the CDU. These parties have learned to put a puppet in a high enough position to deflect any claim of being discriminatory toward the community. I have personally been told the AFD "can't be homophobic because their head is a lesbian"

Israel is running similar campaigns to justify their genocide in the comnunity. "There is Pride in TelAviv" and "Then go and be gay in Gaza, see what they would do to you".

The best counter attack is building legitimate community and to educate each other! We lost a lot of the generation that would be our 'elders' today during the HIV/Aids peak and need to make up for it quickly before it's too late

Your link is for the current OS only, but I found details about iOS27 in the newsroom.

There are a few subtle differences that are probably crucial. Both iOS26 and 27 use Private Cloud Compute. For 26 they specify that it runs on Apple silicon servers (not necessarily owned by Apple) and that no personal data is shared with Apple. For SiriAI in iOS27 it says that data is processed on servers using Private Cloud Compute (without specifically mentioning Apple silicon) and state no data is shared with Apple or others. Which would imply it runs on Google's servers who are the 'others' with potential access.

For me that is too much ambiguity, but I look forward to people more capable than me investigating and testing these claims thoroughly

Your request and attachments like documents, photos, or contents of the document, as well as limited data associated with the request, such as current time zone, country, device type, language, and feature being used when making the request, will be sent to ChatGPT to answer your request and enable ChatGPT to provide you accurate and relevant results.

When using the ChatGPT extension, your IP address is obscured from ChatGPT. Your general location, which is approximated by matching the IP address of your internet connection to a geographic region, is provided to ChatGPT for purposes such as enabling ChatGPT to prevent fraud and comply with applicable law.

Unless you're in Germany where the 2023 co-head of the green party and foreign minister said "These days we're all Israelis"

At least their youth organisation is calling out the genocide, obviously not without being accused of antisemitism
