I'd love to have ventured into that with mine. Turns out the very first gen I got didn't have the SD card internally yet but soldered memory, so I can't do some fancy stuff with it. On the other hand, the thing still runs and that's like, most of what matters. The old thing still got firmware updates from time to time, gotta say that is rather impressive. I can also swap the battery once it decides to die, which is nice.

Bummed to hear they cracked down on the mod scene there, thought that was awesome. I'm bookmarking your comment so I know what to look for if my kobo ever dies. Not getting any locked down bs for sure.

Great choice. Put it on my parent's old office PC after yet another malware incident. Never looked back. Machine instant feels fresh and snappy again. It still runs of an HDD and has only 4GB RAM since one of the 4GB died along the way. Still a perfect office machine.

I'm too lazy to comment on all the other stuff, but you can get your bog-standard 2.0 stereo from any encoded track. Strikes me as kind of funny to argument with future vs. past and then stick to 1930s stereo tech for film when it's become more easy than ever to set up a decent 5.1 system.

Just recently discovered shelter, too. I would have gotten it way earlier if I knew. Had to install an app that I knew was too grabby with data (luckily for one-time use) and only found out about shelter researching how to stop it from spying too much.

Just sent it to my sister who's a huge wtnv nerd too, with the same kind of comment. Just fits somehow.

I just saw there is a 14500 TS12 now. So tiny! I'd love it if it had Anduril. Maybe they'll release a Pro someday, then I'll probably grab it.

Throw on the TS11 is about 600m according to the website if I remember correctly. I'd say that's possible with high drain batteries, with the included one it's less, maybe 500m?

I recently got the Wurkkos TS11, its a great little thrower, and beautiful in orange. The spot is just right, not too narrow, and a little bit of useful spill around it too. While the battery it comes with is OK, it is noticeably more powerful when I use it with the 18650 extension tube and a 2500mAh 18A capable battery. I might get a more powerful 18350 for it when I order batteries next time.

I loved mine, homebrew was awesome on it. I really should have gotten a microSD adaptor, those expensive cards were no fun. I played so much with the GBA emulator, actually swapped my GBA saves between the PSP and the Wii.
