I have an Omron step counter, which is pretty accurate. Later on I got a smart watch (Pixel watch 3) which always counts far more steps than the Omron, like as much as 20% more. I assume it's because it's on my wrist, which moves a lot more than my hip, where the Omron is. And if it factors steps into calculating calories burned, it absolutely is going to be wrong.

This is the reason I mentioned livemonarch.com. They have a US regional map and have an option to have them send you the type that's native to your area. I admit their bags are pretty messy though. monarchjointventure.org also has a local vendor map..

If you're in California, californianativeseedstore.com is run by native Americans.

Actual terrorism - rare. The manufactured fear of potential terror - plenty. These scary transgender people who wanna invade women's bathrooms and molest children. The scary brown people who might be drug cartel gang members. The scary black people who might be druggies, muggers, and welfare thieves. The scary Asian people who may eat unimaginable foods and develop diseases to spread to nice clean white Americans. The scary educated people who protest against censorship of global points of view. The scary women who compete with men and make those poor men feel so insecure about themselves.

He says he's going to make a long speech on the night of the 4th when it's going to be 107 degrees to prove he can. Yes, please, and of course you must wear a suit jacket and tie because you're the President. Bitch will probably step outside for 3 minutes and chicken out though.

I'm surprised by that but maybe your average user has more sense than I'm giving them credit for.

I'm currently pissed off at my dishwasher. I had a Bosch 500 at my old house, it was great. Moved to a new house, dishwasher fails, I replace it with another Bosch 500. In the 4 years they took features away. The top rack no longer is hinged , the time display is gone, replaced by 3 LEDs indicating time remaining, and the delay start is entirely gone unless you use the app. Classic enshittification.

Plus it's always prompting you to get their app if you scroll down a half a page in old.reddit on your phone. You can get around this by setting desktop mode but I'm sure they'll figure out a way to get around that too.

Facebook does the same thing by breaking features that worked in the browser to try to force you to their app. Sucks

"Why are they living so long" lol As if boomers are choosing to live long lives strictly to spite younger generations. How long you live is not really a choice. One could suicide, but if you're in good health and living a reasonably happy life, why would you, or anyone?. Is the poster suggesting we go Soylent Green and all die at age 30 or w/e?

I'm early GenX, very close to boomerhood. I was not able to buy a home until I was 43. I wasn't wasteful either: bought used cars, cooked my own food, my rent was low for the (HCOL) area, but prices just kept climbing and perpetually stayed just out of reach. Finally got an inexpensive house in a less expensive part.of the Bay Area, and happened to do so when interest rates were low. I have a pile of retirement money waiting for me but I also know it's not going to last long enough for my likely lifespan (my family tends to die in their 90s.) We can blame boomers for some stuff, but the economy they had in their working years is very different from what we have to deal with now.
