I was working security at a port where cruise ships were loaded, and a bunch of dudes carrying guitar cases and music gear came through. They didn't listen to any of my instructions and tried to go through the metal detectors without putting their shit on the conveyor belt thing. I had to send them through several times, and one of them was like, "Are you sure we have to do this?" and I was confused and told him yes. I found out later that they were the Beach Boys.
Times change. You can't exist in 2026 and raise kids like you would have in 1996. You can't have an experiment without a control, and there's no such thing as a control when it comes to raising children
I think you're right, to some extent, but I think a slightly more than basic understanding of physics, chemistry, biology, and perhaps most importantly, statistics, helps you cut through a lot of the bullshit extremely easily
In the time you spend making a risotto, you could probably put together a nice PC, and it will probably last a lot longer than a meal. I'm not sure this is a good analogy
Colorblind options that let me specifically choose the color of each HUD/UI element. I don't want an overlay for the whole game, I just want to be able to distinguish icons in the UI that might have color-coding too similar for my eyes to perceive at a glance
To be fair, I think you hit the nail on the head regarding what works and what doesn't. I guess it's possible for every situation to have some edge cases, though

I had a good friend who's dad had no arms, and he had his driver's license and was an excellent driver

Do you really want a sequel or do you just want more games that are like Sekiro?
Personally, I'm okay with there being a single, excellent game

No way, you're thinking of Kirk Cousins. Charlie Kirk is the guitarist from Metallica
Yeah those are solid points. My mistake

Shut up, nerd!
Somehow I don't think that's a coincidence
To be honest, I see your point now. Thanks for working through it with me
To tell someone to chill out. I could have said man or pal or friend, but I chose "bud" this time. I don't think it's an infantilizing term at all
That's not what happened
I think I responded to the wrong person initially, but can I ask why saying "bud" is bad?
Lol simmer down, bud. You didn't make the movie; you just liked it. No need to take it personally
I love how every comment is taking this question dead seriously.
But you might be onto something, old sport
To be fair, I think you hit the nail on the head regarding what works and what doesn't. I guess it's possible for every situation to have some edge cases, though
I agree that most all of them are borderline placebo, but I'm pretty positive that some combination of breath and water lies the cure.
My go-to for curing hiccups is just taking little sips of something and pausing in between
It's too bad there isn't a community where you could ask a question that you realize is probably stupid, but still want an answer for
