Which makes sense really. Socialized networks shouldn’t have to absorb the cost of people seeking a dangerous thrill. In the end it comes down to whether you want to treat the cancer of a couple children, or save a rich guy from a mountain and the consequences of his own poor decisions?
False dichotomy; we can do both a thousand times over if we taxed a single rich person properly.
And Denmark does not guarantee healthcare as a human right. Emergency services are free, but if your problem isn't literally killing you right now then you are guaranteed a consultation with a doctor who will tell you to fuck yourself.
Same!! I don't trust other sites to preserve my photography indefinitely, and definitely not in the quality I want, so I built this from scratch https://p.drkt.eu/ and it's just sitting on a box in my living room. Feels nice to watch the traffic tick by in the logs :)
I think you are misunderstanding my point. Removing at-use fees enables social mobility that strengthens the economy far beyond what the fees would ever dare charge for the service. You can make it free and improve its service. Those are not mutually exclusive. This is entirely a political barrier, and any rational society that believes in the future would just make the damn bus free, because there are no downsides and a lot of upsides.
Why do you have to assume unlimited resources? That is frankly a very dumb approach to this topic. Social mobility pays for itself. It is a net-positive for a city to allow residents to move freely and easily, even if the bus, when nothing else is accounted for, does cost fuel. Busses, trams and trains are infrastructure investments.
The magnitude of the effect was modest but consistent; at the most exposed facade, for every 11.5dB rise in noise level, the risk of Parkinson’s disease rose by 3% over the study period.
The study, published in Jama Neurology, included 3.1 million Danish participants aged 40 and over, and followed them for 18 years. It was established using nationwide health register data, making it the largest study on road traffic noise and Parkinson’s disease.
Yes, or else everyone would be in a union. They are subject to the same socio-economic pressures but either draw the wrong conclusion (capitalism is good) or just don't give a shit and will take low wage over no wage.

Jeg har savnet en bog af denne kaliber i noget tid. Exurb1a er bare god til at skrive på præcis den måde der taler til mig.
Hvem skal jeg sende mit resumé til?

No but I can get that from internet comments in the comfort of my own home.
Det kan godt være at solo-ulykker er i stigning, men der er stadig lang vej til at solo-ulykker er i nærheden af ulykker der involvere en bil.

Engelsk artikel men baseret i dansk forskning.

The entire municipality of Fredericia has free busses and literally none of the problems everyone keeps describing has happened.
Your house also hides outlets that can add cameras, air sensors and 5G gear with no public vote or new hardware!
