Advanced Data Protection. Encrypts user data (like backups, notes, photos, reminders, etc) using keys Apple doesn’t have access to (but the user does).
They don’t even seem to be after specific users. Just everyone in the country with ADP enabled. Which seems to imply they’re already scanning everyone in the country that isn’t using it.
The largest problem I see with it is for undiagnosed people or people that don’t choose the blue envelope. It might make cops think certain types of behavior are only okay if you have the blue envelope to prove they’re okay. This is compounded by perceptions that autism is too broad or over-diagnosed.
It would be better to teach the cops to behave better with everyone. And stop teaching them that avoiding eye contact means someone is lying.
Frankly, the corporations and ultra rich do not deserve the workers’ contributions. I have a very small sliver of hope (not expectation) that unemployed people will band together and put these people out of business.
That’s what really pisses me off about this. The same thing as when they forced the sale of TikTok. I’d personally rather have the Chinese collecting my information and not using it than having anyone collecting and selling it (though I would guess they are actually selling it). But they’re perfectly fine with any car manufacturer in the US tracking the hell out of all of us as long as China isn’t doing it.
I haven’t taken it in years, but it wasn’t so much hard as antagonistic. I’ve taken a lot of different tests in different subjects over the years and none seemed as hellbent on putting in wrong answers that were so close to being correct as this one.
So raise the fucking taxes on the rich already.
That was the author’s guess. Seems like this would only be detectable if it’s being used in enough text (possibly across multiple files).
Nextdoor is some sort of social media app for areas. I thought it was for a small neighborhood, but this makes it sound like it can be larger.
The largest problem I have with the SP is that it doesn’t go into sleep mode.
Guarantee in this case it would be some BS about trans people being unhinged or the most likely mass shooters.

Here’s a psychologist that analyzes why this is happening and suggests alternative ideas based on research: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzylD8yGUj4
Like the ones that could potentially take market share from his LLM

It’s a probability machine, not actual intelligence. If it’s given too much power it’s bound to happen sooner or later.
Yeah. Sometimes when I realize it’s almost over I try to drag it out then lose interest. I almost exclusively play games for the journey.
Can’t wait to see what they get up to after they rig things so if their heartbeat stops a nuke goes off.
“I… I mean free speech. That corporation had so much free speech. No one on the other side demonstrated the same amount of free speech.”

Even if this is the case physical used is going to be the cheapest.

The subtitle on that page is so arrogantly ignorant.
