Speaking of which, I feel like many people are missing the context here (ahem redditors)
When Canada ended PGWPs for colleges in fields that aren't in demand, it only applied to people enrolling after a certain date. These students were enrolled before then.
Another thing is IRCC never mentioned anything about non-credit classes being ineligible for pgwp until after they graduated and applied for PGWP. So by our rules, these students can get a work permit but Canada won't give it to them.
Now this is scary. Why? Because it shows IRCC is willing to make up its own rule and enforce it without regard to others, especially to applications already in process. And people aren't going to trust Canada to respect them while being here. It's basically "I'm altering the deal. Pray I don't alter it further" line from Darth Vader.
That's why I believe these former students deserve PGWPs. They're not the norm. They are the exception. And it's simply following our own rules. We've asked international students to follow the rules here. It's time we also follow our own rules as well
And we're not going to get cases like these in the future with the changed rules
True or not, I, a canadian also agree that excess data centers are bad for our lives. I don't know if that's a chinese propaganda or me realizing the water & electricity costs of it
Just a note but I don't believe Freedom House is the most accurate report (Look at Germany and how they are handling certain types of protests). But it's sfill useful in many aspects, but it shouldn't be the sole source of truth
Maybe an unpopular opinion here, but I feel like posting AI-generated ghibli-style pictures is hugely disrespectful to Miyazaki and all the values he stand for. Miyazaki said once he feels "AI Art" is an "insult to life itself" - and I have to agree, since it strips all the human element art is supposed to represent
I hope this backfires. Research shows there's a white & anti-blackness (and white-supremacist) bias in many AI models (see chatgpt's response to israeli vs palestinian questions).
An unbiased model would be much more pro-palestine and pro-blm
What's the definition of "most?" 90%? 80%?
If one looks at it, PRC+ROC's population is only around 1.4 billion, which is only around 16.8%
If one adds in chinese diaspora, which is 60-70 million, that is still less than 18% of the world's population
Is her mother somehow Yaniko Sato?

And many people realize now car-first urban design is a bad idea. There are pushbacks to make streets pedestrian first

And your point is.... ?
Except smoking absolutely harms your health & others (second & third hand smokers). Plus one chooses to smoke. One do not choose to be gay.
More games should release on gog. That's the only other platform which I will willingly buy from
Finally something good to come out of florida's govt for once

Do they even know what they are signing up for? (American style health care, school shootings, DOGE, etc?)

Next time trump complains, send him this.
Also, do you have family in Canada? If so, family reunification might be an option.
Also look into CUSMA work permit or a US intracorporate transfer if you are working in a company with a canadian branch
Otherwise, look into PNP programs
And that is how you get a stack overflow
Time for pgp then.
