By "no confidence" we mean no trust. When our closest ally declares economic warfare through tariffs, threatens annexation, and blackmails the opening an international bridge, there is no trust left. Canadians are smart enough to know this won't end after Trump is gone. It will take decades to reverse. We will develop stronger relationships with other countries, something that we should have done earlier anyway. The U.S.A. can burn their own house down - we don't care. Just don't try to burn ours with it.

Revelation 12:9 "And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him." That's apocalyptic literature, which people interpret in a variety of ways, but it does mention Satan and describes him as a serpent, so it is not a complete leap.

Those charts are soon going to look a lot worse. I know of many people who had already paid for their vacation before the tariffs were announced, so they went anyway. New bookings for flights from Canada to the U.S. are down over 70%.

HP reached its pinnacle in 1993 with the 4L laser printer. They were practically indestructible. I bought one and it took 15 years of heavy use to kill it.
