To be honest, when I went solar 8-9 years ago, "environmental benefit" did not enter the equation, it was all about the cost I was paying for electricity.
I just recently purchased an ecoflow river, using it as an ups, and the cost to me was minimal, got it at dealers cost, again "environmental benefit" , didn't factor in.
The question I have, why doesn't anybody make a consumer grade UPS with a built in lifepo4 battery. I see lots of videos about how you can DIY one, but I would hate to destroy a fine battery.

I agree with OP, seeing lots of pics on the front page, something does need to be done, if not, I foresee restrictions on the horizon
