I’m not heartbroken, I’m just annoyed. But I’m really excited about Lemmy, I was introduced to the Fediverse with Mastodon at the end of last year and I absolutely love the potential. I hope it reaches mainstream appeal.
Not really, just annoyed. I used reddit for just over 10 years, and I was getting sick of it for the last few years anyway. I am really excited about Lemmy, I really hope it catches on. I got on the fediverse with Mastodon at the end of last year and I’m just so excited about the potential of it.
The rumors are they’re basically pricing it at cost. It’s that expensive because it’s a fucking expensive device to make. There will be cheaper ones in the future if that’s what you’re worried about, it’s called “Pro” for a reason.
All the same reasons the iPhone was successful. It’s cooler than anything that came before it and people want it. I want one so bad and I have no practical use for it. But being able to hang out on a secluded beach with a massive TV window floating in front of me? You’re just out of touch if you think people aren’t going to want that.
If you don’t get it you don’t get it. Idk what to tell you. This is gonna change everything. Not as fast as the iPhone did at that price point, but it and the platforms it makes possible will be ubiquitous eventually just the same.

The app crashes a lot. Other than that long term I’d like to see swipe gestures for things like upvoting, like Apollo
