I thought it was supposed to be satirical but I never saw it. It just seemed like a pointless community to me and I never thought about it until I saw this post.
If the founder/moderator want to spend their time doing this, fine. That's the point of the fediverse. For me, though, it's a community that I'll avoid.
The head of the Argentina FA and the head of CONMEBOL are very good friends with Infantino. Same with CAF. They aren't going to do anything meaningful.

An argument could be made for many of their categories - keeping eligibility for the biggest award categories to the industry darlings.
