I tried adding black and it was just black with the smallest about of black. I did some reading online and found adding blue was listed, so trying that, that is what I used.
I'll try purple next time to see the difference.
Thanks.
I remember the first time it happened. I called my wife and we went to emergency care. The doctor there was pretty calm, and gave me some articles he printed out explaining opthalmic migraines.
I was pretty nervous, because that first time it was scary. I thought I was having something like a stroke.
Color is violet, it is watercolor paint in tubes. I was not thinking of amethyst when I painted this. But I like that you saw that. I appreciate hearing that.
I get opthalmic migraines once in a while. This isn't from that. My opthalmic migraine give me a glitter silver effect in the lower third of me vision, and I cannot see the very center, so reading is difficult.
This is more of stuff I see when I close my eyes, often at night when I'm going to bed. This was just something I saw closing eyes when I was chilling. Might be related to the opthalmic migraine, but not a full blown one.
I can't really say when color it was, but I thought purple would look good.
Mostly, what you would like it to be.
It you like a cobblestone street, that's good. Abstract is good too.
For me, I was creating it from something I see when I close my eyes at night to go to sleep. But, it is too light, and there was going to be more darker gray added to the painting. I liked it at this point and decided to leave this, and I'll create another like it with the darker elements added. That's why it is "1 of ", because I'll make at least one more like this and it will be 1 of 2 or maybe more.
I get the inspiration of some of these from an idea that pops into my mind. Not the image of them, but for the ones I call "Colors" an idea of the lines (or rows), sometimes a particular color, or darker or brighter. Some I have an idea of a pattern or some disjointedness.
I actually enjoy looking at them, especially closely, holding up to see how different they can look at different angles and in different light. Bright light from outside is a little different than indoor lighting.
Thanks. I thought of the mountains like you said as I was creating this, but that wasn't quite my intention. I'm glad you see something that you connect to; sorry about the vertigo.
I had the idea of the colored lines overlapping, straight on one side and the overlapping uneven. Different colors with lots of texture, so lots of paint.
Thanks. This is the largest piece I've made since I was in college.

Showed my wife the last several pieces you posted, she said you're really good. 👍
This was the start
Was this done with ink?

I think the wings are great, very well done.
Thanks

Didn't quite work out how I was thinking, maybe a little more experimenting on this, and start over on a fresh paper.
I wouldn't say you're other wet works aren't good but I'll agree this is better. Thanks for sharing.

It is not.

The hair wetness looks good, but I think the drops on the face don't quite look like water drops (but, how to do this is way beyond my know-how).

Added Pic to show texture
It's amazing how much you capture drawing lines! Great stuff, I really enjoy these.
