Happy birthday!

2 years ago I chose lemm.ee because I was worried about the popularity of .world and whether they would be able to survive that or not.

Turns out I was very wrong and you all have done fine while I am faced with the very situation I was trying to avoid.

Sort of, but I lose the history on this account and have to start over. All of my saved posts won’t come, so I have to manually comb through and save what I want to save. I guess shame on me for diving into such a new and underdeveloped platform but damn.

I’ve been around just as long and definitely didn’t see more than the 1 round so I’m not sure how I missed the other posts. Doesn’t matter now I guess.

I don’t think this is correct. I’m on lemmee and I’m probably just done at this point. I don’t have the energy to migrate to another instance and set things up just to have that instance close up shop again later.

Oops, I totally missed that detail. I went and checked Main Event for real this time and I seem to be able to watch everything including the May 22 show, on Peacock.

Red Dead Redemption 2 story. Every time I go back and play through it provides a month+ of joy and comfort.

American Truck Sim is a good one too.

Okay so previously I would’ve thought this is performative with no chance of it passing. However states have already passed laws that require proving ID to sites like pornhub before you can access and I am SHOCKED that they did it.

People in these areas are either using VPN, verifying an account with pornhub, or just not using pornhub. All 3 of which would be absolutely surprises to me but it’s gotta be one of them, right?

I definitely saw people take foil gum wrappers and put them in electrical outlets to short them. It only happened a handful of times throughout my childhood but even without social media, it still happened.

I assume shorting a lithium ion battery is quite a bit more dangerous though.

I wonder if demonstration/education is part of the solution? Like, every kid should know what it looks like, what usually happens vs. what could happen. Take away all they mystery and curiosity? You’ll still have general vandals but I would hope that number is very small.

You don’t have any place for outgoing mail?? That’s wild. Most people in houses just clip outgoing mail to their mailbox for the postman to pick up. I would’ve assumed apartments always had an outgoing box if they’re using one of those walls of mailboxes.
