And by "pro AI" you mean "we get so many PRs that we don't have the resources to police the AI generated ones, so instead we're just going to make sure the code is good no matter where it comes from", right? Because that's all it is.
Yeah, so the "the more negative things are the more right I know I am" is an incredibly dangerous mindset. It's the exact mindset that religions and cults take advantage of.
That said, I do believe that his paranoia plays a big part of why Graphene is the way it is.
Unfortunately, Daniel doesn't hold back anywhere, including those who have genuine concerns about his behavior (dude is seriously paranoid, in the medical sense).
Thousands of people contribte to Debian, some of the commits are going to be AI generated. It's less effort to just review and accept good code than to police what made it.
I'm working on building an HTPC out of an Optiplex 3040 SFF. Except the fucking "Support Assist" bullshit comes up immediately after POSTing, every single time, and I can't figure out how to disable it.
Edit: my point was that we have a pair of Apple TVs and a pair of Rokus that we're also getting fed up with.
Public game servers are cancer. Always have been. Full of griefers and pervs and kids with snotty attitudes.
I remember years ago in jr high, 8th grade I think, at a LAN party with some friends and playing Red Faction on online multiplayer. We kept getting players popping in, using cheats to kill everyone. Ended up just playing offline for the night.
The world we grew up with is gone, my dude. Its not spying when they know about it - we do not hide the fact that we can see their texts and calls, they knew this from day 0. They're kids, and kids fuck up a lot. I would know - I have 5 of the little shits.
Hell, my first cell phone in the early 2000s wasn't even mine, it was the family cell phone. Yet all of my texts with my now-wife were on it. You bet your ass my parents read those texts.
It's been very interesting watching the evolution of custom ROMs over the years... From CM to Lineage, AOSPA to Paranoid Android (miss those guys, that was my favorite one), and so many others... Glad Lineage stuck around.
Launcher, home screen, app screen, whateveryouwannacallit of an Apple TV unit.
Remember, we're talking about a replacement for shitty ad-infested "smart" TV interfaces - not an app. Apple's TV app is not relevant here.
Apple TV's launcher was recently "updated" to showcase whatever latest content is being pushed through Apple's own services. Which is advertisement.
I get it as well, which is what my own frustration stems from đŸ˜‚
To the surprise of no one...
Until those same people refuse to believe anything except Google because "big company = more trustworthy" or some bullshit.
You're talking to an AI "agent". The executives never see this stuff.
When you are part of a team that manages the codebase for one of the most popular Linux distros, you would probably take a similar path.

Yeah, and?

Damn, that's impressive. I wonder if this will open new avenues for the M1 iPads.
And also just being a decent smart phone.
You don't have kids, I can tell. No judgement from me. However, I am raising kids right now. And this is the reality of the world we live in.
And for what it's worth - we don't read every single text, in fact we don't really read any of their texts unless one of the kids brings up a concern.

Same here. I just treat it like the tool that it is. Its only work stuff on that thing.
And they do the thing just fine.
Ahhh. That makes more sense.
