Since you got some negative feedback here, I want to keep it cool:
If you only want to show ads on YOUR system/instance, I think you can go on and do that. Your users can decide if they are fine with using a service that is monetizing via ads. Just make it clear to potential users BEFORE they sign up.
If you start federating your ads to other instances on the Fediverse, you will be banned pretty quickly, so do NOT do this.
Maybe think about a mixed approach of donations and ads, so users could work actively against being flooded with more and more ads.
Ah, sorry. I didn't realize that the English version of the page is bit outdated. There is much more info on the German version. (I added a note to my previous post.)
While it is nice to have this here, I don't think the Gigaset is in any way a good comparison to the Fairphone. If you want to have a "real" alternative, check out the Shift Phones.
Edit: Sorry, the English version of the page seems not to be up-to-date and missing a lot of info. Please check the German version if possible for you.
Do you now have some complete meals "standardized" and you alternate between these recepies? Or have you more "streamlined" how you prepare invidual building blocks (e.g. beans) and you mix them just how you feel at any specific day?
As @unexposedhazard@discuss.tchncs.de already pointed out, there might be a misunderstanding of what MicroG "is". (Or maybe you are fully aware, but it is not clear to us...)
MicroG is NOT just an app you install & go. It is a deeply embedded part of your system you REPLACE the entire Google Service stack (GAPPS) with.
In theory, it is possible to "ungoogle" an existing system and then integrate MicroG, but it needs certain technical knowhow, like hacking around with adb, rooting, signature spoofing, ...
In other words. To setup MicroG "manually" is not necessary an easy task to make it work correctly. But if you want to tinker with it, by all means: go for it! But be prepared to encounter problems.
However, a more convenient and much straight forward way to use MicroG would be to install a new Android System (i.e. "ROM") that already has GAPPS replaced with MicroG.
Unexposedhazard already pointed out some systems. My recommendation would be "eOS" or "iode OS". Both of them come with a very user friendly configuration out of the box, so there is no need to tinker with it that much after installation.
Final note: Not all phones can be degoogled or flashed with another ROM. E.g. check the supported devices of the ROMs.
And what ever you do: Make backups of your data before fiddeling around with your ROM or any GAPPS. Things can break very fast. 😉
Hi there!

Is it intentional, that the 2026 poster in the shop is using the 2025 canvas image?
We might read the diagram differently, but I only see a defederation with lemmygrad.
Wish you an awesome day! 🥰

Check out the rest of his channel. He is touching on all of these topics.
I think that is exactly the case here. People just can't comprehend how a life other than their own would look like.
I guess that also falls under the Dunning Kruger Effect?
Glad it works for you! 💚

Mad respect! 😃
Having a quick look, the A15 seems like a notoriously hard target to degoogle. 🫤
This might not work if your phone still has Googled apps on it. (As I understand, OP still has them.)

All technical info can be found on the site I linked you previously under the "installation" section: https://github.com/microg/GmsCore/wiki/Installation
