[F-slur]s and their Friends Between Revolutions by the late Larry Mitchell is a fable written mostly in small poems about a society that marginalizes queer people as they build and rebuild their community. It was written in pre-HIV era New York, but is timeless in its chaotic radical fairy tone. It discusses some social and sexual practices rather explicitly, so if you don’t think it’s for you, it might not be.

Honestly, I use Reddit more now that I’m also on the threadiverse. There’s active local content and more Reddits and posts tied to the genres of books I read. Yes, I should be the change I want to see, but there’s only so much of that I can do.

I've had the desire to write a satirical swiftian letter to the editor to a national paper talking about how to tax Americans "fairly" where every single American pays the same amount in taxes regardless of age and income. Billionaires and babies owing the same amount, some ridiculous amount like $50k per person. Then I realized some people might take it as an actual suggestion and try to put it into practice.

I used to work a small job at a big name liberal/progressive(ish) think tank during the ‘08 election. These organizations are filled with thought leaders who are usually brought into administrations at high levels. They have constantly been creating plans to implement progressive changes. They had plans in ‘08. If it weren’t for McConnell & the bank bailouts we would have gotten much more than DACA and the ACA out of Obama’s presidency. HRC had so many very good policy plans that were ready to go if elected that were visible on her website. No swing voter elected Trump for project 2025. What made project 2025 so successful was Trump’s willingness to blast through every guardrail and Congressional republicans unwilling to protect their power.

TLDR: Project 2029 broadly exists. It will be implemented if Dems have congressional power.

JFC the Quake’s death toll in Haiti was larger than the Christmas tsunami and particularly insane considering the quake’s strength and about a century of learning how to build in earthquake zones.
