Mark Zuckerburg was up there at the inauguration because he is one of the richest men alive, and he became so mostly because of the platforms he owns.
By using the Fediverse and not his platforms, I'm denying him revenue from ads and data, even if its an infinitely small amount.
Use open platforms, give your money to ethical businesses and keep it from these assholes. Money isn't the only way for someone to have power, but there's no denying that the net worth on that inauguration stage was the most concentrated anywhere on earth. Don't give them a cent more.
I'm not mad that Mozilla decided to create a chatbot - especially since it's an optional add-on.
But it doesn't at all seem clear what the difference is between this and the countless other LLMs that are already available. I think they would have been better served working on other product features instead.

Tried it a few months ago! I'll never complain about alternative software, but it currently has only the basics. Until its further developed, I wouldn't be comfortable recommending this over LibreOffice to anyone.
A couple of weird things with displays every now and then, and I haven't taken the steps to get the fingerprint scanner to work. I also can't use the Proton VPN app, I have to install each VPN manually.

Post in communities that align with your interests. Post in communities for your geographic area, if you're comfortable with that. Comment on posts you see, if you think you can add something of value to the conversation.
I really enjoyed Doom 3. Has more of a horror vibe compared to the hack and slash nature of the rest of the series, but I feel its very enjoyable and doesn't feel as old as it is.
After the election. I decided I just needed to take a break from the constant stream of negativity. Using these keywords in my post filter has removed political posts almost completely:
I recognize my privilege of being able to ignore these posts temporarily, and hope to come back from my hiatus with the will to do something about our awful political situation.

Stellaris isn't awful on deck, but it would be nice to have the console controller layout that ships with the XBox edition.
I love this idea, I'm going to start practicing it myself.
... no shit?
I can't think of any phone that is Private out of the box. Your best bet is to flash a custom ROM like Graphene or Calyx.
