Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the OP was just saying, in a quite complicated and technical way, "please give us a switch to turn off permadeath".
And I would support that. I know that permadeath is a common feature of rogue like games, but it is also a p.i.t.a. 😉
I like to play rather casually and would prefer the option to return to a savepoint and continue from there. Yes no leaderboards etc in this case, sure, but it would be a big qol improvement.

Also, bottles and seeds have their colors to tell them apart, wands have different colors and shapes, so tweaking their 3d does not affect their recognizability, opposed to the scrolls and runestones. @notabot
@Quibblekrust
Agreed. What disturbs me about the scrolls is that symbols have moved from clear and legible to wiggled and harder to recognize.
For enemies, wands, or potion bottles a little more 3d is ok and looks good, but for the scrolls and runestones it is a downgrade. The symbols are their distinguishing feature, so they should be kept clear.

Could be caused by artifacts being unique items. Each artifact can only spawn once in a game. I haven't checked the code, but I can imagine that in your game every possible artifact was generated, and transmutation into a ring is some kind of fallback for this case.

With the teardrop camera it is ok as only the high health part is a bit obscured.
It's probably just me being old-fashioned that I don't like cramming everything in the edges when today's displays are more than twice high as wide. I think there's plenty of room on top and sacrificing a few dozen pixels for a neat rectangular display is completely ok. Or even leaving the phone status bar visible.
@00_Evan
For me, the only difference between Fullscreen on/off seems to be that when off, the Android navigation bar appears at the bottom. On top nothing changes. Which is a pity, I preferred the black bar, so the game elements are fully visible. My phone has rounded display edges and a camera on top center which now obscures part of the health bar. Good point, I think that is why I feel the tome recharges too slow. Compared for example to the Duelist, her weapon abilities recharge way faster, and she is not as dependent on them the way the Cleric depends on the Tome. @janomike
After a few games, my first impression is "wow, that one's difficult". I didn't make it past Tengu so far. Maybe the magic-centered mechanics are just not my thing (I usually play Huntress, sometimes Rogue, rarely others).
I feel the Cleric lacks thrown weapons (OK, Mage also has none, seems to be a pattern) and the Tome recharges too slow to really use it as a replacement for thrown weapons. (Duelist's special weapon abilities are much faster in recharging, for example.)

Better than into the big puddle!

What's the point, except locking yourself in for some undisturbed healing/recovery?

So they are kind of an armored statue, just not sitting in it's own chamber but wandering around?
@CrayonRosary
And what is "water of awareness"? You mean the Well of Awareness?
