Not everyone can run their own instance. Aside from this being tedious if every service did that (you don't just register an account, gotta figure out how to run it locally), you also run into networking and hardware limitations. To run an instance you need a publicly accessible device that supports that service. Someone just using their phone would have no way of accessing the service. Someone on the road would have no access (unless they also set up a home VPN to connect to their private instance). It's just not practical.

They said "commercial sprinkler systems", i.e. stuff you can easily buy, there is nothing about housing (all residential areas). I agree it's dumb, but at least get the facts right.

In addition to all the good answers, there also the case that most browsers just hide it nowadays. Go to google.com, you'll see only that text in the URL field, the http(s)://www part is only shown when you click into the field, because as many have already said, it's redundant in today's infrastructure

Is your instance auto-deleting media after a few hours? This is the third post from you that just gives 404

Fbi definition:

Domestic terrorism: Violent, criminal acts committed by individuals and/or groups to further ideological goals stemming from domestic influences, such as those of a political, religious, social, racial, or environmental nature

I'd say, anyone storming parliament has plenty political goals

That would only work if half the workers are pushing instead of pulling. If you've ever tried rowing, you know that doesn't work, at least not with any efficiency

I typically have one DB service per app service (not just ler cluster, unless multiple services need the same db).

Advantages:

  • Simple backup/data organization, each service is self-contained
  • True isolation: Unless you manually create DB accounts for each service, likely all your services have access to all data, and even with accounts there are data leaks and exploits

Disadvantages:

  • You have more services running than strictly needed, but this is a minuscule impact on performance (the overhead of the DB service is typically not noticable)

Renault has some models with almost no gimmicks, only a typical navigation system, for example the Kangoo at least our older model, no idea if that changed)

If the time resets, change the CMOS battery (usually a round one, a bit smaller than a coin).

Don't know about the other issue, it seems stuck trying to detect USB devices, so it may be unable to work with your stick, you could try an older one (usb 2?), but the motherboard or usb controller may just be damaged with no easy fix.
