right?! aNST has done such an awesome job over there, from Skyraiders to wormwood to SkullHack and... everything he's doing @ aBSINTHE. It is 100% my favorite bbS of all time - even from back in the day. I think it is the pinnacle.
It all depends on us. I hope for more servers that FEDERATE - I'm trying hard to cut /r/ out of my life... if we do that, lemmy and the fediverse can live on...

Oh, thats fun aLPHA... I really love ArcaOS - aside from its $120 license - its a really nice redo of OS/2; let us know how you get on with running DOS doors and whatnot.

I'm appreciative that accounts are still open; I came over from Beehaw because I want to experience ALL of what LemmyNet has to offer... We all need to support lemmy.world and LemmyNet - I think we're in the early days of pulling Reddit users... I know that's tough in many ways, but I'm ready to do whatever it takes - including leaning up a LemmyNet domain myself.

Because of what is WAS. While it still remains a bastion of information and data, for me Reddit has went WAY beyond a social media that I'll use. I was already done when they decided not to reconsider their API decision - I could have been swayed, too. Companies deserve to get paid for their data and service; but not price-gouging rates like Reddit is attempting.
It really sucks, too - I loved what Reddit, and its USERS, provided to the userbase... when I heard about mgmt planning to forcefully take back BLACKOUT sub-reddits, tho; that was it. NO ONE should remain there - I don't understand how anyone could - federation is the only way forward, aside from going back to a website for every 'sub-reddit'... Lemmy and LemmyNet should, as they are, really take hold right now.
The devs need to find more help; I hate to say this, but theres money there.
NO REDDIT, NO MORE.
MORE Social, less Media.
Wow ; thats pretty amazing - now I have even more respect for them thinking ahead and going after the USB-C ports first... this could force manufacturers to give us a better product - I'll be watching this.
