Currently reading House of Suns by Alastair Reynolds. It's sort of a political intrigue, sort of murder mystery in a weird sci-fi setting. It's all first-person, alternating perspective each chapter between two main characters. Every once in a while there is a chapter from their perspective as a child.

Not only is the shape wrong, it's pointed the wrong way. The lit part always points at the sun. Based on the light at the horizon and the cloud lighting, the sun is straight ahead. The moon is lit as if it is way off to the left.

That part seems reasonable. The weird bit is that the games held by one profile on a console don't become available to everyone.

I buy a physical copy of a game. If the disk is in, my wife and I can both play it. If the disk is not in, whoever last played it can still play it but the other has to fish the disk out?

Nope.

This digital entitlement is tied to the specific disc, and it will move from account to account if you swap the physical game with a friend or log in to a different Xbox profile and try to play a disc-based game.

The profile thing sounds goofy. Only one person on the console can play the digital version?

I haven't been to Dodgers, but they have a reputation for being a pretty terrible hotdog due to the sponsor being mediocre.

On the flip side, all of the Chicago stadiums are sponsored by the best in the business, Vienna.

When I was more directly involved in lower-scale hotdog slinging, we'd get a similar result by holding the buns in a steam table, making them warm and fluffy. Boil a pack of hotdogs, finish them on the grill... A boil-grilled Vienna 6" 6:1 on an S. Rosen (Alpha Baking) 5" bun with diced onion, celery salt, mustard, and ketchup... Perfection.

Pretty much everywhere in the Chicago region uses the exact same hotdog bun you can get in every grocery store here. Most stores don't carry the poppyseed variant though.

I saw a wrapped item that did the opposite, which was weird. It was a pack of 3 pieces and a serving was 4.
