A little tangential since it's not about RFKJr himself, but Sean O’Mara, the doctor giving dietary advice to the Trump cabinet had this to say, as reported in the NYT:
“When you start eating healthy, you don’t need toilet paper,” he claimed. “Animals in the wild have no residual stool on their anus.” He described a proper bowel movement to me this way: odorless, wipe-free, over in three to seven seconds and “nearly orgasmic.” ... “I could have a bowel movement behind a sheet at a dinner party in the corner of the room,” he said, “and nobody would know.”
Trump and/or his closest allies are taking advice from a doctor who doesn't wipe his ass. And he's proud of it.
Banks do have a shit ton of cameras. Mostly pointed at the employees, because that's where the highest risk is. But everywhere else, too.
For banks that have guards, they want to be as obvious as possible to act as a deterrent. Better to prevent a robbery than to investigate one after the fact.
I held my nose and went to twitter to check the profile. He's definitely pro-AI, though I suppose there's a narrow path of pro-open-source AI but anti-corporate AI.

That said, I think the reason you see this behavior highlighted in media is precisely because it's so abnormal. Calling it out is the mainstream part, so not really that unpopular as far as opinions go, at least in my circles.
What I really don't understand is how Microsoft has a near religious dedication to backwards compatibility at the technical level, but will move on to whatever next shiny object they see when it comes to compatibility at the user level.
Relearning the basic functionality of operating a computer every few years rests entirely on the end user, and never on the developer. It's aggressively backwards.
Depends how you want to engage with the world. If you want to follow topics, the fediverse is great. If you want to follow people, you go where those people are, which still might be fediverse, but maybe not.
Word is Josh Sawyer started working on a Fallout game, but couldn't get Bethesda to let him call it "Fallout," so things were reworked into a completely standalone game.
Now that MS wants more Fallout, they pressured Todd to loosen his grip, and the Sawyer game is back to its original intent. It's still in development, but it has had some time to get actual work done, so it's closer than if they just started last week.

It's not hard to get books banned in charter schools, since they're privately run and can be extremely biased. So they only need TWO districts run by bigots to get nearly anything banned. Utah has 41 districts in the state, so the law is that under 5% of public school superintendents decide what's acceptable for the entire state.

20s-30s: Time & energy, but no money.
60s-70s: Money & time, but no energy.
40-50s: Not enough of any of them.
I think they mean a reddit-style starter pack of default subs. The fediverse is either a firehose, or you have to put in the work to curate your feed.
It's not better or worse, just a difference that takes a minute to get used to.
