I recently played a small campaing with Cairn and I enjoyed what these systems with a few abilities achieve. Barrow Delver is a nice set of solo rules for it.
Mausritter is a great intro to the "OSR spirit": due to the player being a mouse, you won't be a hero for long if you run straight to every dangerous situation. Einzelmaus exists to play it solo.
I'm a big fan of Mythic GME 2ed. The chaos factor with the interrupted and altered scenes add more flavour and sometimes good twists. The only difference I implement, and it's also part of the suggested variations, is resetting the chaos factor when values are too low and the game gets dull and boring to add some surprises.
I also have got some nice games with the Adventure Crafter, getting the story to unexpected places.
And both in their deck formats are not praised enough.
For Ironsworn Starforged (and other games and supplements) I like to use pen and paper. I tried the Stargazer app for some time, and it's great, don't get me wrong, but my imagination works better when I'm away from screens.
I recently tried the Hex Flowers like this one (while playing Cairn - Barrow Delver) with pretty good results. I seriously recommend to give them a try and check the included example, easier than it looks!
I try to avoid screens while playing (phone or computer), otherwise I will get dragged into something else between notifications, links and etc. That's my attention span.
Sometimes if I have no other option for one reason or another, I have Adventuresmith and Mythic GME 2e on my phone (Android). The amazing amount of oracle's available is more than enough for my needs (even if I still keep looking for more, but that's my hoarder side).

The Tiny D6 systems are also good and easy to learn: two dice, if you have an attribute that helps, use three.
It depends on the amount of roleplay vs journaling you would like to try. My first try was with D100 and Four against the Darkness, but they were closer to a boardgame from my point of view.
After that I tried Scarlet Heroes, one of the best solo rules and tables to play any classic DND game. Or anything, the tables and oracles can be used in a lot of different games.
Now, the standard suggestion is Ironsworn because it's great and easy to play (although the book is big, everything is variations of one move). OH, did I mention it's free?
And then you can find Mythic GME 2ed, probably the best tool available to play any TTRPG solo. It's really worth it, but there are others easier to understand (I'd suggest One Page Solo Engine).
It depends on what you'd like to play: What setting? Where would you put the focus? More throwing dice? More journaling? Adventures? Epic fantasy? Sci-fi?
Of course not 😅 I'm not judging them at all, I finished years ago that phase where I thought my music taste what better than theirs now I just know it is /s

I still use last.fm, scrobbling pretty much everything I listen to from different platforms. The suggestions are usually spot on. Otherwise, the spotify radios related to specific groups or record labels help a lot too.
I see you are a man of culture. I'm not really into the thrash metal scene beyond some albums from Testament or Machine Head, but that album is amazing. What Rick Rubin achieved there was wonderful.
I have discovered so many great bands using Discovery Weekly! Not all the suggestions are the best, but I usually can understand why they were suggested.

A new album is suggested everyday, and even if they are not they kind of music you usually like, I am sure you will be able to appreciate why it was included in the list.

I was opening the question due to some people saying music "it's not the same anymore", when they actually mean "I still listen to the same music I used to". Nothing wrong with that either, but my point is there is still good music to be discovered.

As a solo player, I find it a bit more difficult to apply it, maybe I need to use a better tool too generate more interesting encounters.

KEXP and BBC Radio 6 are great for pop/indie music. Have you tried them?
