That is helpful, thank you! I still have not found a good way to sync via Dropbox etc

You suggestion would mean to set up all separate folders in the same structure on various syncs devices.

Will put that on my list and try it out.

Interesting setup. I currently access my home network via VPN, do not fell confident with reverse proxies etc, yet. But same goes fit VPS, so I am ready to learn something new.

That would take me to trust the devices of my kids' friends, which is not the case. Feel like the current gen does not understand their way around computers and potential risks. Only know how to use a tablet and use highly processed content 😄

Good to know about immich! I use Synology Photos, so don’t think there is an API. Hoping to switch to immich in the future, when it can reliably manage images on all mobile devices incl. freeing up space after backing up. Thanks for the great effort!

I will also check in more detail. I also thought that wanderer or some similar project has immich integration to have geographical data and photos linked, which is cool for documentation. At the same time, this makes it more complex for other image services (Synology photos or other proprietary NAS software). Immich is on a good way, but still not safe enough to be my go to family solution.

So it is Jellyfin for ROMs, just without the "player" part for all systems? That would be great!

Do we know how it integrates the metadata? Basically, it should scrape & update the ROMs, i.e. the metadata remain with the ROM if it is moved to an non-android device. -- I am no specialist hence asking if anybody can help clarify this?

Is there a Docker image? Cheers!

I have manually moved the save file from RA(Android) - SRM format - to R36S. As R36S does it, I put the ROM and .SRM files into the same folder. ArkOS/R36S does not recognize the .srm file (even if renamed .state). For other games, R36S saves .state/.state1... files. I compared the Retroarch settings on both devices - literally the same, except for the save location. I have not found any option to select between .srm and .state format. For saving, I always save manually from Reetroarch quick menu, hence the .SRM on Android are not "standard SRAM" game saves. Frustrating in migrating devices.
