I agree that the 30% cut is too much. The only reason I give them a pass is because Steam is really good (at least, as a user). But I still want them to lower it.

I don't think we know the specs yet, it might be way more powerful than the Steam Deck. I agree though that the Steam Deck is a better value considering the amount of games and their prices.
I hope they're not seriously considering locking option 2 behind a paywall. IMO that should be a required feature for all platforms, and should be free. If I buy a game at a specific version, I should always be able to play that version.

Twitter was the closest when I still used it, but even then that was somewhat fixed by just using your following feed and ignoring the algorithm. It's especially annoying because it's usually US-centric politics.

I get that. But I just don't browse lemmy much anymore cause all I see is politics. I specifically went out of my way to not subscribe to political communities. But look at the top posts of !technology@lemmy.world, a community I subscribed to for posts about technology, not politics.
3 of the top 4 are about Trump. They are obviously political, there's no ambiguity there.

If you want to sync your notes between devices, Obsidian Sync is $48 a year. But since it's all just markdown files anyway, you could just use dropbox to sync them anyway.
I love the histogram system from Zachtronics' games. I find it much more useful to see my score compared to the proportion of people who got a similar score, than a leaderboard rank that doesn't mean much.

Yeah a lot of people seem to draw a line between Metroidvanias and classic Zelda games/Zelda-likes. I don't really know what the distinction is.
