haven't had mine connected for a few months but my dietpi with the free adguard home (like pihole) was working great to block the ads on the ui and in a lot of the programming in the 'free' apps.
roku was pretty much the only viable 'alternative' to the big companies and studios. didn't even need a credit card (nocc link) or to reveal personal details other than an email for an account (for the devices)-could watch free stuff without a login with the browser. if you did pay for stuff, you can sub to several other services through roku (kinda like how prime does it).
fox was actually forced to sell its stakeinroku when it bought tubi a few years ago. that should be enough right there to say fu go away, but ofc this admin will conveniently ignore that fact and give roku and its ~ 150 million screens to the propaganda machine that is fox.
size is right. simple. practical. don't need a deafening sound system, though. and the range could be a bit longer so i could always charge at 11c/kwh here instead of 4x that or more in the city.
i have a number of clients who are locked out of a valid account, while knowing the correct password, having the correct sms capable phone number, having the correct email. these are grandma types who've never posted anything more offensive than cat pictures and knitting memes. some haven't even been able to make a new account, either. facebook support is literally non-existent unless you're a 'high profile' person.
glad i kept all the ones pulled from previous ssd upgrades and ewaste that went through here. i have several i have yet to reuse.
the shit-tier shingled ones i got a couple years ago to store media files had been relatively stable for years on price at ~ 100-110usd. they're now 170+
yea. there used to be two full doors or more in the freezer for just frozen concentrated juices. now there's one little tiny shelf and all the variety is gone.
there's more profit in "premium" refrigerated "ready to drink" product.
the standard size has made 1.5 quarts for as long as i can remember.. at least the 1970s. there used to be smaller and larger ones in some brands, though.
it hasn't been a 'value' option for at least 20 years now.. based on per-unit price, it's often more expensive than the lowest cost refrigerated carton
you can actually still do that! enable the desktop icon for 'computer' in settings->personalisation->themes->desktop icon settings, then go to that icon on the desktop and right click it and rename. although i have gotten used to win11's 'user files' one with quick access and recent and use that one instead---when it works, anyway (right now it is not)
'profitable' for him, as in bribes and 'donations' from specific persons to allow such projects in specific places, and for specific purposes.
which is, of course, actually better than tailpipe emissions all over town.
which is bullshit, of course. we couldn't possibly all fill up with gasoline at the same time, either.
and many would be charging cars overnight at home on ordinary 220-240v, when electric demand is lowest. you can't fill up a gas tank at home.
no ty. i'd rather use a pc-based device even if it means my 'remote control' is a wireless mini-keyboard with trackpad.
they owned a part of roku at that time, and were forced to sell that to buy tubi.

the "fraud" starts and ends at the oval office. investigate that s.o.b. first.
i just see a scumbag recruiter that bullshits until someone signs for the lowball asking price.

oh, fk. now i know i'm gonna call it that sometime when talking to a client.
i'm not. it definitely applies to me. and i'm guessing it would for the majority of the public, too.
10 years on top of the generations to recover from economic and social policy being shat out by a deranged geriatric.

it was disney channel musicals here. and i actually didn't mind (too much). some of those are ok movies.
