I see it as riders trying to use 'safety' to get things changed where it really comes down to them knowing that tire pressure going up when in traffic / following someone means they have to artificially slow their pace otherwise they lose the front. Michelin is also using the 'safety' card when in reality they just don't want a tire to explode because it'll make them look bad...oh and maybe someone will get hurt / die but the looking bad / losing money is their real fear.

Sorry about the downvotes friend.

He's out of Yamaha for sure, I'm guessing he's going to one of the Ducati teams now - easiest thing would be Digi being dropped and he moves to Gresini, more complicated would be Zarco dropped, Bez to Pramac and then Franky goes to VR46.

Cool stuff, what do you do on your system most of the time? I've messed around with open and freebsd, all hosting stuff though. It's been over 10 years since I tried running freebsd on the desktop, seem to remember sound being a big pita to deal with.

I've got a 13" 13th gen on order, really digging the idea of upgrading easily. I hope they release a 2k 120hz display someday, that's the only thing I'm not digging about the framework

I tried tacking that on and it took me to a comic - thanks for the link! I assume you wrote this, do you publish your stories anywhere?

I did bring it up when the protests started happening, I was met with some apathy and something like 'I'll just have to wait and see what the new big thing is, until then I'm going to keep using reddit'. This is all first world problem stuff anyway so whatever, thanks for taking the time to reply and for contributing to the community.

I'm really interested to see what happens at the end of this week. I have a group of friends that all hang out in discord and out of the group (about 12 of us) I'm the only one that's moved on from Reddit. Every time I see one of them post a Reddit link I want to say something but I just keep quiet and don't follow the links. I'm guessing this is just going to blow over for 90% of the people on Reddit and I'm fine with that but it is somewhat depressing to me folks aren't as bothered by what they are doing to third party apps.

Good point about the original penalty, that ‘drop 1 second’ is not something you can expect a rider to do reliably. Same thing happened to Binder last race I think, the whole system needs to be re-thought
