I thought about using different slants for each surface, but was afraid it'd get too busy. The other reason was that I was testing the technique for a more complex scene with a lot more shaded surfaces, and it would definitely look too busy there. @morgenman
It's meant as a room corner illuminated by a flashlight. I wanted to try a way to illuminate flat surfaces and showing a backlit subject. I have a more complex scene planned and wanted something smaller to test out the technique.
