Part of the good samsung crap is that the app store is kind of non-existent.
Maybe I can side load apps but if I can I don't know how, I may have to try that, but if not for side loading, there's an "applications" menu where I can type apps to search for and it finds Stremio when not installed and I can install that way. There's no app store that I can find.
Searching for Nuvio finds nothing.
With that in mind I'm not confident I can side load apps easily. And I'm not going to change the os or root or so if there's a way to do it, it's not my TV. It's a 77 inch TV that I don't really want to risk bricking 😅

Both yesterday and today I had to uninstall and install again. I assume clearing cache would work but the Smart TV's OS is some samsung crap based on Android that I don't really know what it has or has not, and I can't find a way to clear cache.
It does have a "reinstall" option that does something pretty much instantly but I can't tell what.
It's faster than an installation and it does not clear data. Maybe the "reinstall" clears cache and if it does, clearing cache would not work.
Meanwhile, on a regular android phone it works with no issues.
Small observation: Both the rules and FAQ pages seem to only be accessible after authenticating.
Most of us don't read the classic 77-page-long ToS but it would be nice to read things like ratio requirements (which you did write in your post), perhaps how to configure the torrent client, or so, without requiring authentication.
At first, after the switch years ago, I'd occasionally fallback to Google to search for solutions or explanations of technical errors but I guess Duckduckgo got better and/or Google got worse and I no longer use any other.
A few days ago I tried Qwant briefly with the idea to try to change to non-US services, don't remember what for, and was not satisfied with the results. I did not try it for long enough to say it's not a good choice though.
Everything else does not matter: if it's not a game that requires internet connection for a good reason (micro transactions and license check are NOT good reasons, it's a game), then the game should not require internet connection.
Additionally, for multi-player games, if they have a single player mode, same thing! I already cannot play multi-player, I don't have a working internet connection!
It's sad that enough people keep buying shit for these companies to keep getting away with this.
I had the impression that buying it on steam and linking your account in the official website to steam gives you enough points in the official website to purchase the Ashes of Urh'Rok DLC but I am not sure about that anymore. Direct link to FAQ for more info if anyone is interested.

I think Kobo is not too closed, is it?
Not saying it's open source, but not hard to install KoReader or other stuff it may support.
I have a PocketBook reader, more specifically a pocketbook touch hd 3.
When plugged into a pc the thing seems open source but I am not sure if everything it runs is visible there. Installing KoReader on by device was just a matter of copying 2 folders to specific places in the existing hierarchy, and not a single file replaced a previously existing one.
This is an older device, I hope newer ones are still as open as this one seems to be.
I don't expect to need to buy another e-reader anytime soon but Kobo would be on my radar if I would.
Great job to all volunteers who organized and participated in this initiative.
And also, a big thank you to Myrient for having had so many games preserved all this time and for giving the community a chance to prepare for a time when it will no longer be around.

Like I said I don't really have any kind of special access here except suggest maybe to try to check from a different browser or clear cache, or different application, in the event the problem is local, related to some software you are using and not a problem with the account.
Totally agree with you but I'm not in charge here... I wouldn't either. I put it behind some firewall to try to stop tracking and what not though

Hopefully they don't accidentally create a bug to make it harder to sideload apps in Android.

Nope. The TV is not mine, I don't watch TV since around 2007.
If I can't then reconfigure it so that those who want to watch can, I better not touch.
Edit : more importantly, why would it work differently now than now? Disconnect Wi-Fi = no TV. Seems like a feature to me, not a bug. Unfortunately.

Nope, no antenna. I think just HDMI to set top box. And the box to router. Not sure, can only check in 2-3 days.
Just yesterday I was looking into this since I moved to a place with one.
First thing I did was disconnect it from the Wi-Fi.
Wouldn't you know, none of the TV channels works if not connected to the Wi-Fi.

My favorite classes were Arcane Blade and Temporal Warden. Which from what I remember, at least the second, was quite easier to play than many others.
Tales of Maj'Eyal is a roguelike with a lot of classes and races, which in my opinion offers a lot of replay value, even with no DLCs.
It's actually free and open source.

Been waiting for Slay the Spire and Undertale sales on GoG. The history shows those have not been on sale in GoG for years now or whatever.
