If you're on a budget I would steer clear of any shoe designed for lifting. What you want to do is look for a shoe with a relatively flat sole and is low to the ground. Chuck Taylors usually fit this description.
I currently use Nike Metcons for most of my lifts but will every now and then I rock my Reebok Lifter PR shoes during a squat session since it feels like I get more depth in those.
I have the Pixel Fold and the wife has a Galaxy fold 4. I think the Samsung's folding phone is a little too narrow closed but having a large screen with you at all times is a real treat
I hope everyone you know is doing okay but I don't think Google is really flexing that the alert system didn't work. Tech isn't perfect but the system has worked with other earthquakes. If anything we can hope the tech gets better because this event will highlight gaps.

I've run BBB and Building the Monolith in the past. I'd say both are great with getting volume in on bigger movements but I'm running Jacked and Tanned 2.0 right now and have to say I'd choose this over any of volume based 5/3/1 programs
