I feel like they might be a little late to the party on building an online storefront but better late than never.

Obviously this is the first kick at the can and would be nice to see this evolve into something that can promote and support Canadian small businesses. But this is Canada post so I won’t hold my breath.

I’ve sworn off Amazon, and would love it if a Canadian specific online aggregated shop popped up. One that gives more exposure to Canadian small businesses, and uses our national postal service to deliver the packages.

Chantel Herbert had an apt summary of this whole escapade, calling it “political kindergarten”. As if the issues between the US and Canada were small enough to be smoothed over because JD and Jivani were friends. Two political officials who have no sway in either of their respective government’s. Not only that, he went down to the states on his own volition, without the request of the government of Canada or even at the request of the leader of the opposition.

I think I’d like those options for a couple of reasons. First would be recurring payments in Canadian dollars. Second would be more visibility for financial contributions, help to see you’re apart of community of donors, and lastly I think these two institutions seem aligned with the values of federation, and bottom up community driven initiatives.

Is there any interest in taking donations on Librapay or Open collective again?

My friend its a small group of us on here, we're light on content. I say if its Canadians kicking a ball around professionally it has a place here

The party needs a fresh start. We’re out of money, toeing this weird line between criticizing the government but also propping it up, and haven’t made ANY gains from crumbling liberal support. The legislative wins from the supply and confidence agreement don’t seems to be bearing any fruit. Everything feels stagnant, leadership change will hopefully give the party a chance to redefine itself and assert that it is the true left wing alternative to PP, and the liberals.
