Yes. You could use mailgun.com for example for sending mails. You get 10K free I believe and it's easy to setup
For the hostname aka domain change it to your own, likewise with passwords for each installed service. Like the docs say, most services are additional and not required ;-)
Awesome! <3 Merci!
I think u.fail is still safe :D -ish

Whaat?
Try to set a ‘default language’ in account settings. I think it’s a bug that sometimes appears
Thank you! It helps a lot <3
Click on the "reply" icon haha!
That's very true indeed!
**Element is just a 'front end' for Matrix ;-) Like an app for the web, mobile and desktop that connect with a Matrix server!
Matrix is our self-hosted equivalent of a 'federated' WhatApps like platform. You could use it but it's not required ;-)

Bookmarked! Thanks!
The day I deleted my Facebook account..
I was searching a long time for something self-hosted but that day I found Mastodon and setup an instance right away!
Even without creating an account somewhere first. I just knew!
I'm planning on keeping u.Fail around for sure! Still gotta fix some little things though
Also.. I got some nice domains like 'forum.fail' and 'share.fail' that may be cool for a #Kbin instance later on!
If you would like to support please see my post here <3 https://mstdn.social/@stux/110095696221482024
Here you find the 'default' Lemmy config and our config.. Seems there are no issues there.
The error we'll get in Docker on Lemmy server is:
There is a new account needed since it's a 'different server' ;-)
