I am semi amateur ,i grow most of my mushroom in my shed outside. Using fuel pellet with bran and my equipment consist of an instant pot,dozens mason jars and a few boiled and reused syringes.
Cant say i produce as much as some people but i think with the right mindset you can start the hobby with pretty minimal stuff ;).
I use many,goldberg based crack work fine. Online fix work fine too as long as you launch them trough steam with some parameters.
I use most of them in an bottles
I did bazzite for an lot of friends that are not so good at linux and they did really well.

I mean everything reddit is community created,they dont pay the mods of any subreddit ,if they did i wouldnt mind the api change.
