I've seen this come up a few times. Being forced via legislation to return to work. What does that mean? I can presume sentencing and prison. But I don't know. How do you compel someone to work. Can't they just resign? Isn't it just slavery at that point? I don't get it.

Well it turns out I don't know what I'm talking about at all despite using these sockets every day. They're a lot more technical than I realised. Shows what we take for granted I guess.
The live and neutral ports commonly lack the shutter and the fuse is not always present (edit: on low power devices). Some devices for whatever reason also feature a plastic earth prong which serves only to release the shutters to allow a connection. And if the earth is not present or is broken then the plug will sit loose in the socket. Another "feature" of these plugs is that they lay flat on a surface and hurt to step on.
That's how it works yeah. The problem is measuring that distance is really hard to do, especially consistently. They used to advise putting some paper between the bed and the head but I never could do it right.
I'm certain this is one of the biggest problems I've had. I do have a touch sensor and custom firmware to accommodate it but I still couldn't get it working. I might try a new bed also to see if that helps. A new printer, even a cheap one, is definitely out of the question right now unfortunately.
Oh I understand now thanks for explaining. Yes this has been a consistent issue that I've had. I'm really having trouble making the levels consistent across the bed.

I have a bl auto leveller attachment. It didn't work because I couldn't attach it when the bracket it came with didn't fit my printer. So I was reliant on printing one with a printer that didn't work. I kinda just ended up zip tying it to the printer head and hoping for the best but to be honest I don't understand how it works or how to use it.
I do really need to replace the bed on it. It's in poor condition and it's still the same bed that it came with 6 years ago. I've heard glass is great and adhesion definitely is an issue I keep having.
As for that last one I don't know how I'd check the extrusion rate. I know it isn't physically broken because I've pulled it apart several times and nothing looks cracked or broken internally.
I think the biggest issue I ever had was being unable to accurately level the z axis evenly across the whole bed. It uses four of these frustrating little metal circles each located on a corner of the bed you have to twist that give no real measure to how much you're turning them at all. I'm attaching a picture of them with this comment. It's the round part attached to a spring.
I did check the temps and adjusted them at times based on the filament manufacturers suggestions and online comments. That only really was a problem when the nozzle clogged because it wasn't getting hot enough.
I wouldn't know how to measure the steppers but I know the temps are quite accurate from measuring them externally.
I'm not sure what you mean by the heat bed needing to be level relative to the X and Y.
It is a constant battle blocking anime communities that post nsfw and just generally (in my opinion) depraved content, even here on Lemmy. I can't go 5 seconds without seeing extremely sexualised content of extremely proportioned anime girls. And as if that weren't bad enough a lot of them appear to blur the line of underrage content which is just disgusting. I really wish this wasn't so prevalent, or better yet, nonexistent. Not only does it feel degrading and dehumanising but also it can't be good for the mental health or sexual maturity of men either. I don't mind if men want to share content of women they find attractive so much but the hypersexualisation, extreme physical proportions, and predatory nature of a lot of the kind of content they do post is disturbing.
Obviously a large contributor is that our communities get drowned out or lost to the void because the ratio of people using these social media sites are producing extreme biases towards men and the sexualisation of women. Which leads to echo chambers of negative sexualisation which then leads to a spiral of greater extremes.
The way I see it there's still a negative social bias around male sexualisation and a whole lot of hetero fragility.
Men that prescribe to that treat content that sexualises a man as being negative (and worse still, gay [I don't believe this personally I'm just talking in that mindset]). Because for them to even see that kind of content, even if it wasn't meant for them is, is unnacceptable. It's not simply a case of filtering the content. No it shouldn't have even been put in front of them at all. But for us why isn't filtering this content enough? we are made to accept their way and they are not expected to accept, or even tolerate, our way.
I'm bi but the hypersexuality of women online pushed me towards being hetero for a long time. It just drained any desire I had to be open about my own sexuality even internally. I know that online is only a part of my interaction with the world but it certainly contributed a lot against me being honest with myself about my sexuality. I can't even begin to imagine what effect it's having on straight men.
