The world is literally on fire due to climate change, numerous wars and conflicts with global repercussions, and everything is getting more expensive, while people see that politics - which is supposed to serve society - is subservient only to its masters in the business world. Overpopulation has also become an increasingly pressing issue. The outlook is bleak. Why on earth would anyone want to bring children into this real-life dystopia and deliberately subject them to this?!
It's your job as her sibling to tell her things she does not want to hear. Try to be understanding but let her know that she might regret not having done anything later on. That's time she will never get back.
Hätte sie nur irgendjemand schon vor 50 Jahren darauf hingewiesen, dass etwas getan werden muss, dass es richtig dreckig wird, wenn es so weitergeht! IRGENDJEMAND!!!
Just in case someone is looking for something similar:
I got the Lian Li 8.8" Universal Screen and am really happy with it. You will have to install the Lian Li software to get it to be recognized as an additional screen (and to turn of the LED, too). After that you won't have to use it again and can build your own sensor panel in AIDA. Be aware though that the screen does not like USB Extension Cables. I'm using it connected to my active USB hub and it works well now. The stand could be a bit more stable, but otherwise it's great!
Thanks for the tip! The Corsair display does look pretty nice, but it’s far too expensive for what it actually offers. I also noticed that Corsair has a keyboard with a built-in Stream Deck and display, which would be a neat solution - but I don’t really want to have to look that far down at my keyboard.
In the meantime, I found out that the Lian Li display can be used without that rather odd software suite. So I’ll probably get an AIDA64 Extreme licence instead and build my own custom sensor panel. Since the display connects via USB directly to the motherboard, there should be little to no performance impact.
Price is secondary until I know what the market has to offer. I was thinking of something like Lian Li's 8.8 inch ultrawide screen, but I'm not sure if it works without the Lian Li software.

It looks like the girl in the middle was bald. Uncanny with that creepy grin.

Well, no more Steam gift cards as birthday presents from my employer, I guess. The colleagues will have to come up with something else. How annoying.
Das Problem ist nicht, wie sie formuliert. Das Problem ist, was sie sagt.
They've got nothing Toulouse
Still the best gunplay I've ever witnessed.
Marvin is doing his job.
If I ever see anyone wearing one, I will hit them in the face. Hard. And step on this shit.
Edit: Ridicule me all you want. This Stasi shit must not get a foothold anywhere. Truly dystopian times.
Especially with Dynamic Weather Overhaul
Praise the Omnissiah!
Beware of the Snorks, though
