Mel Brooks had explained, that's because he found the money, in a bag, in his basement a while ago.

Lets think about that.

  • The rivers flow rate is the product of its cross section times the flow speed.
  • The flow rate is also the sum of all the runoff and streams that end in the river above any given point.

So, if what you assume were true, the flow speed would sink. The ingress flow rate would not reduce though, why should it, so the only way to keep the ratio between flow speed and cross section, aka the flow rate constant would be to increase the cross section area. So, the water level would have to rise, no other way to achive that. So the question is: "Will the river in its entire length raise its level when we put these turbines in at any point?" - that would be a great way to get hundres kilometers of deeper shipping lanes for free, but no, of course it won't.

Hey, everybody has the right to make themselves unhappy or worse as they wish, according to their own priorities, within legal limits. So, you do you.

Sometimes it’s better to struggle through something on your own

Yes, thank you, that strategy finally, after three decades of struggling earned me a short emergency stay at a psychiatric clinic about six years back due to being acutely suicidal and some much needed therapy for three years afterwards. It's right up there with "just going out and and walking for a bit" and "enjoying the sun". I'm completely fed up with people telling me to suck it up and I'm not doing that anymore. Nobody in their right mind would suggest not splinting a broken leg because the material used to do so sheds microplastic or something.

I have ADHD and humans are not always available to help me separate tasks into small packages and report results back to or sort a huge, insurmountable task.

Yep, same. I've put the big rig in the basement and am using it from a thin client with Sunshine/Moonlight (although I have been informed, that there are evolutionary implementations of that pair).
